Wild Tigers Safari

Apr 9-22, 2026

Join us in India during the prime season for Bengal tiger activity. With temperatures still moderate, tigers are on the move—roaming, hunting, and interacting—giving you the best opportunities to capture unforgettable images. We’ve secured 6 full-day and 2 half-day safaris in Tadoba and Kanha National Parks. Full-day permits allow early entry, flexible zone selection, and the ability to stay out from dawn to dusk—dramatically increasing your chances of extraordinary encounters. Then, we’ll head to Pench National Park for 3.5 days of wildlife-rich exploration, with strong chances to photograph Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, bison, wild dogs, and more. With only two participants per jeep, you'll have plenty of space and the freedom to shoot from both sides. This 14-day, all-inclusive adventure is led by world-renowned tiger photographer Nitish Madan—don’t miss your chance to learn from the best and come home with portfolio-worthy images.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 (Apr 9): Optional arrival day.  This is recommended to help cope with the jetlag and reduce travel stress. If arriving today, you will be responsible for booking your own lodging near the airport.  We will give recommended options to participants prior to the trip.
  • Day 2 (Apr 10): We meet midday at the Delhi Airport for our flight to Jabalpur. After we arrive, we meet our drivers in comfortable and spacious vans. We enjoy lunch and start the 3 hr drive to Kanha National Park, which boasts some of the most prolific tiger activity anywhere in India.  After checking in, we enjoy a group dinner and get prepared for the exciting days ahead of us!
  • Days 3-5 (Apr 11-13):  We have 3 full-day tiger safaris booked in Kanha National Park. With the full-day permit, we can enter 15 mins before the rest of the groups and exit 15 mins later.  We can also go to any zone we want, allowing us to be in position for the best tiger sightings!  You'll be very busy pressing that shutter buttons, captuing not just tigers, but a large variety of birds, sloth bears, owls, and more.
  • Day 6 (Apr 14):  We enjoy a final morning safari in Kanha, before returning to pack up.  It's a long day on the road with a 7-hour drive to Tadoba National Park.  But don't worry, we'll break it up with a few nice stops along the way. We get settled into our lodging and enjoy a late dinner.
  • Days 7-9 (Apr 15-17):  We have three full-day tiger safaris in Tadoba National Park.  By being out all day long when the AM/PM safari people have to return, we'll maximize our chances for incredible and exclusive tiger sightings in one of the most beautiful national parks in India!
  • Day 10 (Apr 18): We enjoy a final morning safari in Tadoba, before returning to pack up.  It's a 3 hr drive to our next destination, Pench National Park - which is also a great place to capture the Indian Leopard!  We get settled into our lodging and enjoy delicious local cuisine for dinner.
  • Days 11-13 (Apr 19-21): On these days we'll have AM/PM safaris in Pench National Park. This will allow us to return to the hotel midday for lunch and a quick break during the heat of the day. We'll also try to schedule time for post-processing instruction and image critiques.
  • Day 14 (Apr 22):  We finish our workshop with a final morning safari in Pench before packing up, driving to 2hrs to Nagpur, and flying back to New Delhi.  We'll arrive no later than 6PM. Most international flights leave late at night so you can plan your return travel for this evening (recommended).  Alternatively, you can book an extra night hotel in New Delhi and fly home on Apr 23rd.

If you book as a single participant but want double occupancy, we will attempt to pair you with another participant of the same gender. But with our small group size, pairing is not always possible. If we cannot pair you up, you will be asked to pay the single supplement.

All lodging during the workshop is in upscale 4-star hotels.

As a requirement of joining the workshop, participants must purchase their own travel insurance.  The proper policy will cover things like last-minute cancellations, medical emergencies, and non-refundable expenses. He works closely with clients to ensure they return home with a portfolio of images that they would be proud to show to their friends, family and colleagues. He has over 500 tiger safaris under his belt.

He has been visiting national parks of India since 2002 as he has always had a deep, spiritual love of nature, wildlife and adventure. He saw his first wild tiger back in 2004 in Kanha National Park in central India. He was totally mesmerized by its beauty. After this sighting, he decided to buy a camera so he could relive those special moments to cherish those memories.

Compared to other genres of photography, wildlife photography is very challenging as you have no control over nature or animals, but that is what makes it so exciting and deeply satisfying.

His goal as a photographer is to share these jewels of nature with everyone to inspire more interest and compassion for the natural world in the hopes that they may be conserved for generations to come.
